How to choose work platforms & hop-ups

Decide the standing height you need before choosing deck length. A long platform at the wrong height encourages reaching. Compare deck width, overall footprint, load rating and folded storage size.

Fixed or adjustable height?

A fixed hop-up is simple to set up. Adjustable legs add flexibility, but every lock needs checking. Stairwell use is appropriate only where the exact product instructions permit the setup.

Plan movement and access

Keep the deck clear and reposition the platform rather than leaning beyond it. Wheels, if fitted, must be used and secured as instructed. A low platform can still cause a serious fall.
