A platform is not always a podium

An open platform stepladder is different from guarded podium equipment. Longer work, forceful tasks or work requiring both hands may call for another access system following a risk assessment.

Material and equipment handling

Fibreglass stiles can be relevant around electrical hazards, but they do not make live work safe. Keep within the total load rating, including tools and materials, and check the condition of the frame, platform and feet.
